No one more than Vice President Richard Cheney exemplifies
the ideology criticized in these songs. As the architect of the first, and much of the
second George W. Bush terms, he has had considerable influence in shaping much of the
current domestic and foreign policy initiatives. As a former oil company CEO, former
Secretary of Defense, and former Chief of Staff for President Gerald Ford, he brought the
interests of industry, the military, and the federal bureaucracy to the beltway table.
Dick Cheney is the personification of an IMEC creature. He is a power-broker who has long
worked to undo our system of checks and balances, and has fought to make the President a
king (see "Cheney's Law," pbs.org/wgbh/pages/frontline/cheney).
Since Mr. Cheney is Vice President of our country, we
should respect him - and we do. Mr. Cheney is, in fact, downright impressive. Few have
ever attained even half of what he has accomplished.
However, we are strongly opposed to the ideology he
represents described herein. We are compelled to be IN HIS FACE via IN YOUR FACE.
Never Forget: Dissent is the Highest Form of Patriotism.
