Discussion of IMEC Rock
Don't misunderstand the message of this song.
If you are serving in the U.S. Armed Forces or in law
enforcement, we commend and honor you.
Serve on with honor!
If, however, you directly or indirectly condone the
exploitation of our troops and other resources for what President Eisenhower called that
"unwarranted influence", then you should listen. If you support those who
manipulate U.S. policy for ideological or financial gain, this song is about you.
Late at night in a Beltway pub, as beer and words flowed,
an esteemed retiring lobbyist revealed some of the dynamics of the IMEC world.
Irrespective of the political party in office, IMEC has wielded undue power and influence
on our society. Often this power is so intoxicating that it holds in bondage those who
serve it, and those whom it has blessed. ("Time to spend my money
")
Such is the struggle our song's IMEC father ("IMEC
Creature") is facing. He understands that it is a struggle for his very soul - a
struggle he will ultimately lose ("I'll have back my fun").
The song implies that we are a nation at the same
crossroad. We, too, are now at risk of losing our soul and forfeiting free speech,
religious and civil liberties, etc. We have gone down the wrong road (" in the name
of safe-ty" - national security) and now must return to our distinct course.
Are we any longer a government of the people, by the
people, & for the people? Or has this unwarranted influence grown to such strength
that it has overcome our democratic structures and processes? At this point in our
history, no one knows the answer to this question.
Our founders envisioned a government that prevented a
tyrannical government from ever arising in our midst. Is our government becoming that
which it was created to prevent?
It will become just that if we sit idly by and watch this
happen.
JUST SAY NO ! is an effort to stop this trend.
BuyBack U.S.A. is a call for citizens to claim back their
government as a government of the people, by the people, and for the people.

reform to the Buy Back Band website. Email us at govreform@buybackband.com.
